Find simple solutions for connecting your phone or wearable and syncing health data with Kulawise.

Select your device:

On Samsung devices, Kulawise reads your steps and activity via Health Connect, which must be connected to Samsung Health:

  1. Install Health Connect: On Android 14+, it is pre-installed in your phone settings under Settings > Security & Privacy > Health Connect. On older versions, install Health Connect by Google from the Play Store.
  2. Link Samsung Health to Health Connect: Open the Samsung Health app → tap the three dots in the top-right corner → select Settings → tap Health Connect → switch on Allow all.
  3. Grant Kulawise permissions: Open Health Connect (or go to phone Settings > Apps > Health Connect > App permissions) → select Kulawise → allow Steps and Energy burned.
  4. Turn off background battery restrictions: Go to phone Settings > Apps > Kulawise > Battery and choose Unrestricted so your phone doesn't pause sync when Kulawise is closed.

Redmi and Xiaomi devices (MIUI and Xiaomi HyperOS) restrict background services by default. Follow these steps:

  1. Install Health Connect: Download Health Connect by Google from Google Play, along with Mi Fitness if you use a Xiaomi band or smartwatch.
  2. Link Mi Fitness: Open Mi Fitness → tap the Profile tab → tap Third-party data → select Health Connect → tap Connect and grant permissions.
  3. Grant Kulawise access: Go to phone Settings > Apps > Health Connect > App permissions → tap Kulawise → choose Allow all.
  4. Enable Autostart & remove battery restrictions: Go to phone Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > Kulawise:
    • Enable Autostart.
    • Tap Battery Saver → select No restrictions.
  1. Check Health Connect: On Android 14+ devices (Pixel, OnePlus, etc.), open phone Settings > Security & Privacy > Health Connect. On older versions, install Health Connect by Google from the Play Store.
  2. Connect your tracking app: Open your companion app (Google Fit, Fitbit, Garmin, etc.) and turn on Sync with Health Connect in its settings.
  3. Authorize Kulawise: In Health Connect → App permissions → tap Kulawise and allow all permissions.
  4. Allow background usage: In phone Settings > Apps > Kulawise > Battery, allow unrestricted background activity.
  1. Open Health Settings: On your iPhone, open Settings → scroll down and tap Health.
  2. Allow Data Access: Tap Data Access & Devices → tap Kulawise → tap Turn On All.
  3. Check Background Refresh: Go to phone Settings > General > Background App Refresh and make sure both the master toggle and Kulawise are turned on.

Pull down on the Home screen to refresh: In the Kulawise mobile app, pull down on your Home screen to immediately fetch the latest data from Health Connect or Apple Health.

Check companion app sync: If you use a wearable (smartwatch or fitness band), make sure it has synced with its manufacturer app first (e.g. Samsung Health, Mi Fitness, or Garmin Connect) so the data is available on your phone.

Low power mode: Make sure your device is not in Ultra Battery Saver or Low Power Mode, which pauses background data transfers.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Search for Health Connect in the settings search bar (or go to Apps > Health Connect).
  3. Tap App permissions and select Kulawise.
  4. Toggle Allow all off and back on again.
  5. Return to the Kulawise app and pull down to refresh.

In the Kulawise mobile app, navigate to your Profile tab → Subscriptions & Wallet. Here you can review active memberships, cancel upcoming renewals at any time, or check receipts.
